2025In March 2025, the TURN Activity Support Program focused on sashiko embroidery training in Aomori. Artist Lea Embeli studied Nanbu hishizashi embroidery in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, and learned first-hand about the differences from Tsugaru kogin-zashi. In her home country of Serbia, she plans to undertake a TURN exchange program focused on Nanbu hishizashi.
