Workshop in Serbia

Artist Lea Embeli is doing a TURN project in her home country of Serbia.

She has embarked on workshops with members of the Székely minority community, focusing on their traditional embroidery culture. Her workshop this summer covered the history of Nanbu hishizashi embroidery and local Székely embroidery techniques, enabling participants to deepen their understanding of the commonalities and differences between the traditions.

Please see here for details of the activities.
